Early Winter 2012 Class Center Schedule
ALL classes will be held at Balance Class Center, located on Olive Street right next to Caldwell Lumber/Do-It Best, approximately 1/4 mile from Balance Fitness.
All classes run in 8-week sessions unless otherwise noted.
There will be a $5 discount per class given to participants who enroll and pay for more than one class; first class is full price. (Exception: Zumba is discounted for participants who enroll in multiple Zumba classes. See “Rate List” above for specifics.)

NEW! BALANCE BARRE
Balance Barre is a unique class that combines interval training of isometric exercises and stretches to lengthen and sculpt your muscles to create a beautiful and lean body. The class uses your body’s own weight as resistance during the interval sets, and through dynamic exercises, your muscles are targeted and overloaded to the point of fatigue, then stretched for relief. Balance Barre is like no class you’ve seen before!! Sculpt your arms and legs, lift your bum, tighten your abs, and re-shape your entire body.
NEW! POWER YOGA
Power yoga is more vigorous and fitness-based than traditional yoga. It is recommended that you are familiar with Yoga postures before taking this class. The fitness level for Power yoga is intermediate. Power Yoga is done by doing a series of Yoga Poses while synchronizing one's breathing patterns to each movement, or Vinyasa, resulting in actions with perfect unity and grace.
ZUMBA
Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got a Zumba class!
YOGA
Yoga is a healing system of theory and practice. It is a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures, and meditation that has been practiced for more than 5,000 years.
PILATES
Pilates improves core strength, flexibility, agility and range of motion, dramatically transforming the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. It can even help alleviate back pain and other chronic ailments.
STEP INTERVALS
This high intensity, fun workout combines traditional step aerobics with other cardio and strength techniques for an incredible full body workout!
CARDIO KICKBOXING
This FUN cardio workout combines the best elements of boxing and kickboxing for the beginning to intermediate participant. Kicks and punches are arranged in sequences to create challenging and fun combinations. Don’t be intimidated; you can do it!
INDOOR CYCLING (AKA: “SPINNING”)
This is an extreme cardio workout using a specialized stationary bike with a weighted flywheel. This high-calorie burning class takes place in a dark classroom under blacklights and is set to high intensity music. Space is limited to 7 per class. |
